or is it a moot point with being able to save passwords?

What do you mean by "save certain cookies"?  That's what cookies are already for

I suppose it's kinda stupid, huh?  more like to be able to save certain cookies
that carry user info, like when you log on to a specialized art arhcive that has
member support...
It seems to be non-existent, and perhaps pointless...

Do you mean save as in save to a file? I don't see how that would be useful. Or
do you mean save as in not allow them to expire?

Adding qawanted, as this bug still needs more information. Joseph, do you mean that you want to allow 
cookies for certain sites, and disallow them for others? If so, Mozilla already offers that functionality.
