All the above urls are eating cpu time and exhibit slow scrolling behaviour
(www.devx.com is the worst of all) on 2002042510 (trunk), while they scroll
flawlessly on latest (4-25-2002) 1.0 branch. Test systems :
1. K6-III/400, Voodoo 2000 at 1024x768 16bit, Win2K-SP2
2. Celeron 500, Matrox G200 1024x768 16bit, Win2K-SP2
I'm opening this bug as a means to note latest performance regression of image
tiling on Windows (continuing discussion from bug 102321). It's not a tracking
bug for scrolling performance (bug 100951 is intended for that). Whether this
bug is a duplicate or not, it won't hurt me :) But, please, don't mark it as a
dupe of bug 102321.

It is a duplicate of 102321, thats where I am gathering that information. I
also have an optimize bug open.. but I rather just track one bug. I will mark
this a duplicate, and if you have noticed.. I am not igorning this. Opening more
bugs does not help.. it makes things more confusing.

dcone, I wanted to keep discussion in a bug with better summary and with less
irrelevant comments and url testcases. As we all know, Mozilla trunk is not
unusable on the above testcases. It simply has choppy scrolling, considerably
less smooth than Mozilla branch (which doesn't have any measurable slowness), at
least on some machines. And ESPN's new page layout is not "dog slow" anymore.
So, a better summary would make me happy but since you are working on the bug,
that's not as important after all :)
