This could be bug 1402178 - the fix for which landed just after the nightly you're using (I believe). Please can you retry it with the next nightly?

I actually think this is due to the removal of some of the layout flushes in bug 1353563 or bug 1358792.

the solution, imo, is to completely change our way to align results, in bug 1402272.

I can still reproduce with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0 ID:20170926100259. Sometimes the entry is completely blank (probably on the left or right side beyond the border of my screen). Guess this affects Firefox 57 too.

We may be fine to ship an intermittent issue like this, we are not fine with something like bug 1403781. So regardless we must do something about it.
My hope is to take bug 1402272 in 57. If the uplift should not be allowed we'll try to fix bug 1403781. Intermittent failures like this one will have wait for bug 1402272.
