You can't actually drop items on the drag space before the tabs, and so the result is it's tricky to actually drag/drop items before the tabstrip. This can be frustrating if that's something you want to do. It wasn't this hard before we added drag space there. Not sure why the drag space is interfering with stuff, but there we go.

Not sure exactly what's going on, but here's something interesting: if, when I start dragging an item, my mouse cursor is directly over the icon SVG, I have no problems. But if I drag an item from the whitespace surrounding the actual icon image, it's very hard to get the item to drop near the drag space.

IIRC we calculate the offset of the mouse cursor on the palette item you're dragging, which might be a contributing factor here.

Yeh will see if I can see whats happening here, its working for me fairly strangely, if I drag in from the right it almost never registers
