See the discussion in bug 1402363, particularly comment #14. Additionally, tests are needed for redirects in dom/security/test/mixedcontentblocker. Marking as a security bug since the original bug is a private. Should this bug be folded into bug 1402363?
Should we just implement this as part of bug 1402363?
