User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build ID: 20170926190823 Steps to reproduce: Updated to 56. Actual results: No bookmarks work on left click or middle button click Expected results: Ordinarily open the page in current tab or new tab. Middle button does open ALL bookmarks in a folder.
The menu items "Open all in new tab", "Open" and "Open in a new tab" do work.
Is dupe of Bug 1404424 - New tabs won't load with MEGA extension in Firefox 56?

MEGA not present in this case.
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build ID 20170926190823 I haven't managed to reproduce this issue on the latest Firefox 56.0 release. I've updated from 55.0.3 and I can still open Bookmarks from the browser toolbar with left and middle clicks. Could you please post everything you have in about:support and if possible retest the issue with a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8), maybe even safe mode (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d), to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause?

OK. Travelling at the moment - will try this next week.

Thanks for your help tracking this down.

Just back ... and thank you for the reminder. After the reboot now, I have just tested the same functions and all seems well (happily). No evidence of untoward behaviour, so I suppose that you can mark this item as resolved. It is curious, though, that the problem occurred on the update, that restarting FF had no effect, but that reboot has cleared it. Some very odd interaction somewhere? Anyway, apologies if you think this a false alarm, and my thanks for your time.
