User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20171005220204
Steps to reproduce:
In the new Firefox 57+ theme, a fade-out effect is applied on right end of each tab button's text in the tab bar. However, if the tab button width is already small, this effect obscures the little 1-2 letters still visible on a busy tab bar even more and masks crucial visual information for telling the tabs apart. Therefore, this effect really should be removed if the tab buttons are shrinked below a given width threshold.
To reproduce:
1. Open as many tabs that the horizontal scroll arrows appear with some actual site open that has a title + favicon
Actual results:
See screenshot with almost completely faded out letters
Expected results:
No fade-out effect, letters remain unobscured and clear (for thin tab buttons)
Severity: normal → minor
Component: Untriaged → Tabbed Browser

Maybe we should consider shortening the extent of the fade-out.

This was prior to bug 1406478. This is now be fixed as far as I can tell.

We've extended it in bug 1363033 because that looked better.
