Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build ID: 20171002220106 Steps to reproduce: Log into windows through the Remote Desktop Protocol (via SSH) and visited numerous websites to playback videos. Release version v55 worked. Testing builds with mozregression (which includes a blank new profile with no addons from the mozilla-central-build repository): - Last build that worked: 2017-07-21 03:02:04 v56.0a1 x64 nightly (Changeset 0faada5c2f308f101ab7c54a87b3dce80b97d0e3) - Earliest build that does not work: 2017-07-21 14:18:52 v56.0a1 x64 inbound (Changeset 417eea89f792059e88be5e217e6f1a5cecf2d3d0) Actual results: - No audio playback, video works fine (Soundcloud reports an error and plays no audio) - Tried Youtube, Nicovideo, Vimeo, Soundcloud - Tried browser restarts, tried tab reloads, tried opening new tab and navigating to pages manually - Troubleshooting information does not report hardware issues and does report the correct audio output device - Tried safe mode, new profile - Other audio (and audio played with a video) works in RDP Edge Browser, desktop applications (Media Player Classic Home Cinema, Foobar2000, System Test Sounds) - Works in the local environment without RDP (i.e. accessing the remote computer physically) Expected results: - Should have audio with the video
Should also mention I first noticed this bug in v56.0.1 x64 release version. I was just using mozregression to determine approximately when the build first broke.
I have noticed this too over the past several months. I didn't know exactly when it started. I have the latest Nightly x64 running on a virtual Windows 7 Enterprise x64 and I am using remote desktop to access this Win7 virtual machine from a Windows Server 2012 machine. So yes, no audio through Nightly whatsoever no matter which site I have tried for several months. thanks
