Details

For better or worse, ".html" is likely to be a common extension used for XHTML
files. Until Composer includes an XHTML editor, these files should be opened as
plain text rather than text/html.
This is INVALID.

XHTML processing in Mozilla happens only when the mime type is an XML type.
.html will be resolved to text/html mime type, and as such all .htm* files will
be treated as regular HTML.

If you really want XHTML, use the XHTML mime type (and from local file, an XML
suffix).

Composer does not yet support any XML/XHTML.

See http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/xml/ for more details.
