Context:
Right now, Responsive Design Mode uses the fonts of the system as defined for desktop.
Default fonts on Android are different depending on the browser.
* Chrome: Roboto
* Firefox: Open Sans
To be able to reproduce the circumstances of a test, it's important to get the right font.
Suggestion:
Having the possibility to set the default font in each profile will help to have better testing.
Why it's important?
"Open Sans" and Roboto have different font features, different enough that they break the design with regards to font-size, line-height, etc.
Thanks for filing! That would indeed improve the accuracy of the simulation.
I guess the simple version would force those fonts to be referenced, but you'd still need to have them installed... Supplying them as web fonts seems possible but would affect performance... so potentially some path to ease installing the fonts locally could be useful as well.
I'd be very curious to know how many developers would find this useful, if that's possible to measure somehow.
:digitarald, maybe we can ask our Designer advisory board about this?
