1414206 - doesnt logout properly in firefox57

Steps to reproduce:

i goto forums often, an login to them an occasionally close the browser without logging out of the forum


Actual results:

when i restart the browser  Firefox57 thinks im still logged into that forum when im not, that forum being forums.mozillazine.org an i have Cookies to be removed when exiting the browser, so obviously there maybe a Bug in Cookies not actually emptying  when exiting the whole browser ( as in closing the browser ) 


Expected results:

pretty obvious wqhat should happen, the Browser should Logout of forum or any other page

I can't reproduce this on latest nightly. Reporter, can you reproduce this behaviour in safe mode?

i dont use the nightly, an i wont use it either till it goes final. , you may as well close this Bug. i might as well use Google Chrome in future

Do you have "Show your windows and tabs from last time" in the preferences? If in that case it is bug 530594.

nope, but its a random issue with 57. i have it to show my homepage.  but as i said, you might as well close this BUG.

Hi,
I found the cookies which related to login info are not session cookies, in my view, the behavior of this problem is current.
My reproducing steps as below:
1. Login http://forums.mozillazine.org/
2. Closed Firefox.
3. Reopen Firefox.
4. Confirm the login status.
5. Remove cookie for confirming which one related to login info from Storage(Tools=>Web Developer=>Storage Inspector).

Could you try your problem on Chrome?

Reporter, I didn't ask you to use nightly, I asked you to try in safe mode (which you can use on any version of Firefox). We are trying to assist you in figuring out why you're having this issue, but we need some help from you. Please don't treat us like we're not helping.

Amy, since you appear to be able to reproduce this (even if it is a server-side bug), can you take this one on? Thanks.

i cannot reproduce the issue on Chrome, only in firefox57,

1. Could you try to use Storage tool to remove all cookies from http://forums.mozillazine.org/ and restart Firefox to confirm the login status of http://forums.mozillazine.org?
2. Could you help me to confirm whether the cookies exist after you restart Firefox?
   i. Please make-sure  http://forums.mozillazine.org/ doesn't load after you restart Firefox.
3. Where do you set never save cookies? I tried the setting as below and I can't reproduce your problem:
   i.   about:preferences#privacy
   ii.  History
   iii. Choose "Never remember history"

Wold you help me to clarify this problem?
BTW, I had used Firefox 57 to reproduce your problem.

with that setting you use, i cannot reproduce it either
