141637 - bookmark folders in sidebar partially reflect changes made to bookmark folders in the bookmark manager

if you change the [open/close] status of a bookmark folder in the bookmark
manager and then close the manager, the bookmark tab of the sidebar only
partially reflects those changes. it seems that it would be acceptable if the
sidebar either reflected the [open/close] changes from the manager totally or
not at all, but now it's somewhere in between.

in the case that the folder is open in the sidebar and you close it in the
manager, the sidebar's triangular indicator will show that the folder is
closed--but the folder will actually still be open, and its contents will be
visible below it. if you then click on the folder, it will "open again". the
folder then shows two working copies of each of the links in the folder. the
folder can then be closed and functions normally thereafter.


in the case that the folder is closed in the sidebar and you open it in the
bookmark manager, the bug gives two different results, depending on whether the
folder in question was selected when the bookmark manager was opened. 
if the folder was selected, when the bookmark manager is closed, the triangular
[open/close] indicator has turned to the open position, but its contents are not
visible. clicking on it turns the triangle to closed, and the folder then acts
normally.
if the folder was not selected, when the bookmark manager is closed, the sidebar
looks the same as when it was opened. but then the first click on the folder in
question [the one that was closed in the sidebar and opened in the manager] has
no effect on it whatsoever. after that, it functions normally.

i just realized that these strange effects also work across windows. if i'm
working in one browser window, open the bookmark manager, and open or close
windows, there are similar glitches popping up in other mozilla windows in
addition to the first. 

sorry this is so complicated. [i'm also now seeing some different behavior of
the triangles, but can't pin down what's going on.]

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a folder [one that has links] in the bookmarks tab of the sidebar
2.open the bookmark manager
3.close the folder using the bookmark manager
4.close the bookmark manager
5.click on the folder in the sidebar

Actual Results:  the folder opened again and showed a doubled list of the links
in the folder--each link showed up twice.

Expected Results:  the folder should be closed when you close the bookmark
manager. when you click it, it should open normally.

seeing this on XP 2002050108 as well.

After step 5:
6: click on the twisty outside the opened folder twice, to close/re-open

Result: the duplicated bookmarks are gone again (at least visually)
