Nightly 59 x64 20171113220112 de_DE c616a6fd5e4b20cca139fcdd3957682afaa862b9 @ Debian Testing (KDE, Radeon RX480)
fresh profile: layers.acceleration.force-enabled, gfx.webrender.enabled, gfx.webrender.blob-images
Spinoff from bug 1414691 comment 3.
See attached video. This seemed only to happen with WebRender.

It seems that all those "small" images are in fact 2400x1350px and the most of them fall back (get red with gfx.webrender.highlight-painted-layers) because they get downscaled: bug 1416022.
Maybe I mix too much: In attachment 8927528 [details] from bug 1401665 comment 8 you can see a (duplicate/misplaced) loading circle on the top left for a moment (but which isn't red).
Could it be that this happens only if something is broken? (wrong "clipping"?)

Could you test with the pref "layers.async-pan-zoom.enabled" off?
It looks like we have problem for culling.

No, that didn't help.
Nightly 59 x64 20171117100127 de_DE a77c628829b389ed6ac608eadc88b09eb5115bef @ Debian Testing (KDE, Radeon RX480)
Reproducible in a fresh profile with layers.acceleration.force-enabled;true, gfx.webrender.enabled;true and
layers.async-pan-zoom.enabled;false. It doesn't fix bug 1401665 comment 8 either.
Disabling WebRender fixes this. And disabling layout.display-list.retain (bug 1416055) has no effect.
No crash, nothing critical on about:support.

Also seen at the end of a YouTube video (in cinema mode) when those recommendations for other videos fade in:

It seems to be a OMTA problem. I cannot reproduce the qmusic.nl problem with the patch in bug 1419851.

Too late. Older try builds are gone. :/
try build from bug 1436058 comment 12:
(disable autoplay, switch to cinema mode and reload)
mozregression --repo try --launch bf1f0e821ba910be62e3443687e6e2a7cf288915 --pref gfx.webrender.all:true startup.homepage_welcome_url:"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxbIAzGTYnQ&t=1h30m16s"
good
I can no longer reproduce the problem described in comment 0 either.
