What did you do?

1. Go to http://leafletjs.com/examples/choropleth/example.html
2. Start panning the map
3. Notice how on some occasions the map starts lagging when zooming in and out.
What happened?

When stretching images, zooming isn't smooth.
What should have happened?
==========================
Compared to Chrome zooming is smooth.
Is there anything else we should know?

I saw I didn't specified browser. Tested in latest Firefox 57 on Windows 10, 64 bit.

Is this about panning or zooming? Both are mentioned. Both of them seem smooth as chrome to me.
Mostly when zooming. Could you try also here? Here is lag more obvious: http://apps.sentinel-hub.com/sentinel-playground/
