Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Build ID: 20171112125346 Steps to reproduce: In Windows, I would like to close Firefox with the X button on the top right of the application, no matter the sitation. There are specific circumstances when this cannot be done, for example, when a webpage request authentication with a username and password, or if Confirm popup box is asking to resend information. When used maliciously, these actions confuse users, and does not allow users to exit Firefox using the X button on the top right. I suggest that when the X button is used, under all circumstances, Firefox should force exit. Actual results: Firefox doesn't exit. Expected results: FIrefox should exit.
Clarify: "when a webpage request authentication with a username and password", I mean Firefox comes up with a popup box for the username and password.

A Networking Auth. prompt is using modal dialogs and it's the nature of the modal dialog that the main window controls are not usable ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modal_window ). I will dupe this report to bug because making those dialogs non modal is the only solution.
