The open web location dialog ("file:open web location" menu item) appears in the
upper left corner of my screen, not centered in the standard dialog position.

The dialog is not centered in the standard dialog position (that is, it doesn't
appear at the middle of the screen), but instead appears sort of towards the
upper left hand corner of the screen. It is however no longer at (0,0). I'm
going to verify this as fixed. pink, if you don't agree, please reopen. Thanks!

Standard alert is not the middle of the screen. Its on the window. I think it is
centered and a 1/3 of the way from the top but I haven't read HIG recently
enough to remember the exact location.
That sounds close enough. I haven't read the HIG in a while either...
