Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc1)
Gecko/20020417
BuildID: 2002041711
NOTE: This is new to 1.0rc1. It worked as expected in 0.9.9
When new mail arrives, a little icon pops up in the system tray (or if you have
it configured, a 'bubble help' type box appears ... (I guess that's what broke
it, cause that feature is new to 1.0rc1).
If you click on the icon, mozilla messenger is brought to the front/started, and
the get new mail action is called, and the icon disappears.
However, if you already have the mail window open, and you click on get new msgs
or press ctrl-t manually and it fails to find new mail, the systray icon fails
to disappear (it should be cleared away by that stage)
If I click on get new msgs or press ctrl-t, and it finds new mail, it clears the
icon (but only if it finds new mail)
Normally the icon is a picture of a white envelope with a red arrow (or
something). When 'bubble help' is turned on, the icon becomes a yellow
triangular alert box. The problem applies to both methods of notification.
Reproducable in win98 and w2k.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Wait for new mail to arrive, and for the automatic email check to cause the
systray icon to appear.
2. Do not click on the icon - instead, bring the messenger to the
foreground/focus, and click on get new msgs.
Actual Results: systray icon doesn't disappear as expected
Expected Results: It should.
This worked in the 0.9.9 release.. but not in 1.0rc1
