User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0 Steps to reproduce: - Start Firefox 56 Actual results: Update to 57 is installed, even when updates are set to "never", because firefox 57 still does not support 90% of the extensions. Expected results: Updates should not be installed

Setting severity to major, as the upgrade breaks existing profiles even when you want to downgrade, if you have no backup. Setting to linux/x86_64 can be reverted if it is reproducible on other platforms. I run the ftp.mozilla.org version from an appdir, which had user permissions for updating (manually!).
Since i rolled back to the backup, I could not reproduce it in any profile.
