141963 - Text selection not working when in BiDi mail editing

When receiving or sending email with Hebrew charset, when trying to select more
than a single paragraph of text, the entire email is being selected (or nothing
at all).


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on the "Compose mail" button
2.Type a couple of paragraphs in English, and make sure you can select any
subarea of the paragraphs.
3.Select "View->Charset->Hebrew (iso-8859-8-i
4. Type a single Hebrew character anywhere in the window (I use KDE keyboard
selection on Debian SID). I typed a few character in a new paragraph
5. Switch back to English, go to the second character of the first paragraph,
press the shift button and click the down arrow a few times.

Actual Results:  As soon as the down arrow takes you outside of the first
paragraph (a single line in my case), the selection disappears. So long as you
are in a new paragraph you can select, but as soon as you leave that, the
selection disappears again.

The same happens when trying to select with the mouse.

Expected Results:  The selection should have continued starting from the second
letter of the first paragraph, and continuing until the location where the
cursor is (logically or visually connected - doesn't matter to me).


This happens even if there are no Hebrew characters in the email at all, if the
email received has the Hebrew codepage. It seems to happen as soon as Mozilla
decides to put up the bidi text cursor (the one with the small arrow).

I think bug 125229 is Mac-only, but this looks like a dupe of bug 82352
