Details

There should be an option to allow using only verified crypto algorithms where possible, i.e. use verified algorithms even if slower.
Priority: -- → P3

I don't see this as being particularly important; we're wholesale replacing our non-verified versions, and getting speed increases to boot. Maybe if we end up making a compromise in the future we can add this, but for now, WONTFIX.
