Steps to reproduce:

go to my.aol.com
sign-in
Try to move the shopping "window" by grabbing on the "grippy area" in the
shopping tile bar.

What happens:
It does not move

Expected:
The shopping "window" will display an outline while dragging and dropping the
shopping window on to a new location.

This works using Netscape 6.2 and Mozilla 0.9.9.

Hmmm. I can't seem to get the "grippy" area to function in NS 6.2.1 or 6.2.2
either. Works however in IE 6.0.

this is the source of the page. It works only in IE (only ver. 6 tested by now)


from what i understand reading the source of the page this must be an
evangelism issue. 

my.aol.com is serving the same page to all (the browser sniffing code is in the
page source and is actually just redirecting the browser if not one of
ns4/ns6/ie5/ie6)

the feature we see in IE on this page is very IE specific (we don't support
that). the reporter says it worked in NS6.2 at least (and moz099), so i guess
the page has changed or something. if the web author changed the page, then he
made it work only in IE. ("d'oh" to quote Homer)

ok here is the moment of zen:

for IE, my aol is serving DHTML (makes use of window.event.srcEvent)

contains a bunch of IE specific DHTML stuff.

For guests(any browser) and members(not using IE)

is linked.

compare the two implementations of function init(){...

Definitively an evangelism issue!
