Details

To get a better understanding of how our in-app messaging campaigns are performing, we would like to track when a user actually changes their default search engine (or specifies a search engine). I was told we already do this in Telemetry. Use case: As part of onboarding, show a user a banner about the ability to change your search engine. The deeplink would direct users to opening the search engine settings We currently do not have a way to track if users are actually completing the goal of specifying or changing a search engine in LP.
Chenxia and Elvin please let me know what is needed for review.

Clear a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user.

Inactive users most likely will not respond; if the missing information is essential and cannot be collected another way, the bug maybe should be closed as INCOMPLETE.
