User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.94 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Inside of Kali Rolling 2017.3, I run the following: firefox -headless Actual results: A Firefox GUI window opens. Expected results: A headless browser should have opened instead (no GUI window). This is killing CI/CD when working w/ servers w/o GUIs. I imagine this affects others and as a result may very well impact functional/load/security/etc testing. Please address ASAP.
Component: Untriaged → Headless
Hi Jacob, Firefox's headless mode was introduced in version 55 (for Linux) and 56 (Mac/Windows), so unfortunately it isn't available in Firefox 52 ESR (and won't be added to it, since that would break the "stability" guarantee that the ESR releases promise). To use Firefox's headless mode, use a newer (non-ESR) version of Firefox, like the latest stable release (57). If you're restricted to ESR releases, the next ESR release of Firefox will also include it (which will be released in March, according to the FAQ: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/).
