No, bug 115017 is about adding a link to Google Groups from a newsgroup search
dialog in MailNews.
Btw, mycroft.mozdev.org now has the Google Groups plugin.

It's hard to impossible to get any new search engine plugins checked in. As it
was mentioned before, go to the mycroft website where you can add them as you
wish. Wontfix.
