After starting Mozilla from the taskbar ICON in win2k I am unable to enter a url
in the URL bar. If I close mozilla and then reopen it I am able to type in a
URL. This has been a problem for a few versions but I was expecting someone
else to log it so I haven't. Since it's still here and its RC1 I am logging it.

I am running Mozzilla 1.0 Release candidate 1.

Thanks.
Kevin James.
rlated: bug 90337
Still there in RC2. It's a real pain. Changing 'address completion'
preferences seems to get it going again in the current browser - whichever way
you change them. But back it comes later.

Looks like a duplicate of 131627 by the way.
Had same problem a few times. It occurs only when I start Mozilla while windows
is still booting. The only sollution is to close the browser window that has
the problem, and start a new one.
same problem occurs on w2k machine. it seems as if its not reproducable. killing
mozilla.exe sometimes resolves the issue. clicking on a link also seems to
resolve the issue, but not always. This is Mozilla 1.1 alpha. I cannot seem to
reproduce it to be able to give steps, but it happens quite often for me. I'd be
willing to test out any nightly builds that might fix this.

Starting from a taskbar icon is causing this 100% of the time, and it never
happens otherwise? Might be a specific case of bug 82534.
well, bug 82534 was fixed 2003-01-22.
