Unable to test this as it requires an amazon prime account and I don't have one. There are no subtitles on the trailer.

Bryce, can you please take a look? We should have a functional WebVTT implementation, but there might be bugs, or it might be a site issue.

Hi Greg, could you let me know if you're still seeing this issue? I've been unable to reproduce this, so if you're still having problems we can try and narrow down what's going on.

Hi Bryce, Good news is that I am NOT seeing the behavior. It runs out it's the No-Script script blocker that was the culprit. Captions work perfectly on Amazon Prime and you can close this issue...

Thanks for your response. Glad to hear you got this resolved!

Not Amazon's bug, not Firefox bug.

You are not able to download subtitles because of a DNS issue. Likely you are using a DNS ad blocking server (like adguard o an instance of pihole), and the lists you are using are blocking subtitle server dns resolution.

Try disabling your adblock or switching to google dns servers in your device and/or your router, and try again.

If this helps anyone, please leave a comment, so more people can find this solution and solve the problem.

For future readers encountering this problem, and if using the NoScript add-on, the domain aiv-delivery.net needs to be whitelisted in NoScript to see the subtitles (the bug reporter mentioned it was a NoScript problem he resolved on his own, and thus not a DNS / ad block issue for him -- but didn't give the specific domain to whitelist).
