User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0
Build ID: 20171226083017
Steps to reproduce:
open Firefox on an Android phone, go to a website then tap the URL. There is now an "X" at the end of the URL bar. Choosing an "X" for this button was a bad decision because it is confusing to users, an X makes users think tapping it will clear the URL, but that's not what this button does, that button is the equivalent to the "Cancel" button in Safari for iPhone. I've attached a screenshot comparing Safari for iPhone, Chrome for iPhone and Firefox for Android (I didn't include Chrome for Android in the screenshot because Chrome for Android just uses the Android system back button as the "Cancel" function)
Expected results:
related bug: there is no "clear URL" button in Firefox for Android https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1412465

Another reason this button needs to be changed: as a webpage is loading, it shows the exact same X icon for the 'stop loading page' button (screenshot attached). This is a bit of a mess... I hope this gets fixed soon, an icon change isn't a big deal
Isn't this just a simple icon change or is there a larger holdup?
