Fedora 26/Wayland/Gnome Firefox 55.0.3 Main Extensions: PrivacyBadger, TabMixPlus, Flash For the last 4 months, I've been having issues with Firefox hanging in a peculiar way *sometimes* when I visit Facebook. Let me explain what happens so you'll see why it's peculiar: 1. I have several tabs open for several sites. 2. I visit Facebook and use it. 3. Sometimes this happens immediately on initial Facebook home page load, sometimes after several hours, and everything in between ... I strongly suspect that it's ad-related. 4. Suddenly Facebook stops loading. 5. Firefox seems to be operating. I can click on tabs, switch windows, and scroll around already loaded content. 6. However, I cannot load any new content. Firefox behaves as if my internet connection was down (it's not, and sites in Chrome load normally). 7. I close firefox. 8. The program does not shut down, but remains running in the background. For this reason, it can't be resarted. 9. Eventually I have to "kill" firefox on the command line. Since this issue sometimes happens several times in one day, and other times not for several days, I haven't been able to either use FF in safe mode, or keep the debug log running long enough for the problem to recur. However, today finally I got an actual crash report out of one of these hangs, so I'm reporting the issue now: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/85ac317b-9c68-445a-ba3c-8da5d0171230 Hopefully that crash report provides some insight. If not, I'll go back to hoping that this gets fixed in 57 or 58 as a side effect of something else. Thanks!
Additional notes: Flash is set to "ask to load" and the longest I've waited for FF to shut down before killing it was 30 minutes.

The crash report isn't very helpful, sadly. It is a shutdown hang that is normally caused when the content process takes a while to quit. I wonder why the stack is missing though. Is this a distro/custom build?
( --> Marking [qf-] since hangs/lockups aren't really in-scope for qf. Definitely sounds like a bug; just not in the umbrella of qf, since qf can't include everything.)
