We normally run android emulator test tasks on xlarge instances. Robocop, mochitest, reftest, etc all run on xlarge, and we know that those tests become less reliable on less powerful instances. There are just a couple of exceptions, like cppunit tests, which do not run on xlarge. I think the difference is accidental, and might contribute to on-going intermittent failures. Also, this difference makes it difficult to progress on bug 1321605's attempt to monitor emulator bogomips.
