Steps to reproduce:

Opening a context menu on a hyperlink by right clicking shows an entirely different context menu than doing so elsewhere on the page.


Actual results:

Because of this, an inconsistent experience is achieved. When I come across a background image am interested in for whatever reason, I expect to be able to right click and view the image. Oddly, for hyperlinks this option is omitted in the context menu.


Expected results:

There are perfectly good reasons to not have all the context options when right clicking hyperlinks. Some options do not apply and some options can be easily opened from other places on the page. However, "view background image" is highly location/element specific, and the same result can not be achieved elsewhere on the page. That leaves only tools -> page info -> media. This is a valid option to gain easy access to these images, but the issue remains that the user experience is inconsistent. Why offer a context menu option for this on some elements on the page, but not on hyperlinks, which often hold background images as well?

Suggested solution is to add the "view background image" context menu to hyperlink element context menus.

I have already heard about options that this feature has a low signal to noise ratio. I would like to counter this argument by stating that the inconsistency in context menus is noise on its own. The user might expect to find a certain functionality which he is used to, and finds he has to take a workaround in some cases. The matter is, since the context menu item exists, it should be applied at all elements where it can be reasonably expected to be of use. That includes hyperlinks.
