Imagine an otherwise unchanging display item that has an animated transform. We need to make sure that the attached BlobItemData::mRect gets properly adjusted for this new transform. We don't seem to have any mechanism to do this.
mstange, as I understand it children of nsDisplayTransform don't find out that the transform has changed. Correct?

One of the problems we have is finding out of a frame has had its transform change. Retained display lists sort of gives us this but it's maybe not the best approach.

It looks like the flags set by MarkNeedsDisplayItemRebuild() are cleared before we have a chance to use them.

I think this bug is obsolete now / will be handled as part of bug 1388842.
