- The issue is intermitent.

**[Affected versions]:**
- Firefox 57.0.1 and up

**[Prerequisites]:**
- Have a new Firefox profile with the latest "Firefox Notes" add-on version (https://github.com/mozilla/notes/releases/tag/2.1.0) installed.

**[Steps to reproduce]:**
1. Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites.
2. Navigate to "about:addons" page and double-click on "Firefox Notes".
3. Observe the "Firefox Notes" theme options.

**[Expected result]:**
- "Firefox Notes" theme options are displayed.

**[Actual result]:**
- "Firefox Notes" theme options aren't displayed.

I'm unable to reproduce this with Notes installed via Test Pilot.
Can you attach a copy of the extension that exhibits the problem?  (the link from comment 0 is to the unbuilt source code)

Indeed it seems to happen when we load the XPI from a file on disk.

I will attach you a version of the XPI.

I can't reproduce either. From the sound of the bug, this doesn't seem to affect end users who won't be installing from a file but from a website. When they do get this error, it looks a refresh makes it work. For that reason prioritizing quite low.

I can't reproduce with the attached xpi on Nightly
(though note that the attached xpi calls itself version 2.2.0 and comment 0 refers to version 2.1.0)
