Steps to reproduce:

I use FF more of 10 years, early was have addons for everything, that me was needed.

However, after migrated to Quantum, was saw, that some very important addons was still broken and not updating.

One of this: URL-corrector like a this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/urlcorrector/

Author not answered to me, so i decided write my first addon. Studied your specs of API, i successed reproduced some examples from github.

But, after R&D with "Command" and "Omnibox", now i thought, that no possible create any addon, that can be doing, that i want.

Just "omnibox" work with after keyword, and it must be once in manifest.json, however user can write "cs" or "сы", that no possible by current specs.

Resume: need possibility for detect changes in the address bar and possibility for real-time changing the letters, that user insert.

Of cource, i know about "security risks" however it need in only extension-level, may be with access-confirmation for user.

P.S. Just not all people speaking&writing in English, and in there are using another languages, but this API (addons based on it) can improve they UX in Firefox, because it remove requirement checking current layout every time.
