Details

The WebVTT parser spec (https://w3c.github.io/webvtt/) has seem substantial revision since we wrote our current implementation. We've made some updates as it's developed, but as of the 2018 January 31 draft, various aspects and terminology don't reflect the specified parse.

This bug is about reviewing our implementation against the current working group draft, which should be close to stability. From there we can update our parser.
