User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20180206200532

Steps to reproduce:

I simply watch this 720p streamed video : https://www.lequipe.fr/lachainelequipe/video/evenements/handball-replay-dunkerque-montpellier/x6ejr1f
(the others videos of this website have the same problem I guess)

Actual results:

In the Task Manager I can see that one of the processes of Firefox is constantly growing in the RAM.
After ~40min, it takes 1.2 GB in the memory.

Another tester posted some screenshots here : https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/15393#issuecomment-365525879

I made a test in Internet Explorer 11, but the video doesn't start...

Expected results:

The usage of the RAM should stay the same.
Thanks for the report. That sounds bad! I can't view those videos from where I am (Canada) do you see the problem with more public sites, like vimeo.com or youtube.com? It could be a site issue.

No, I don't see that problem on vimeo.com or youtube or dailymotion.
That's sounds like a site issue, as you said...
I sent an email to the staff of the website lequipe.fr, they answered me that they transmitted my message to the "technicals".

Today I made some tests with firefox and the problem is not solved. Is there any french people or people with a VPN that can try to confirm the bug and perhaps contact the staff of the website?
Flags: needinfo?(giles)
I wanted to say "people from Mozilla" from France or with a VPN... ;-)
Jean-Yves, maybe you can diagnose?
Flags: needinfo?(giles) → needinfo?(jyavenard)
I made some new tests with the videos and there is still an issue... May you know another french people that could diagnose if Jean-Yves is away? Or should I wait a bit more? Thank you :)

I'm afraid you'll have to be patient for now. :/
Flags: needinfo?(giles)
The issue is still not solved by the staff of the website. Someone should perhaps contact them.

Paul, can you reproduce this issue?

Flags: needinfo?(jyavenard) → needinfo?(padenot)

We can't access this website, because the IP of the Paris office is very often considered English, and it is the case here. I'll try from home tomorrow.

I'm clearing the NI to Ralph, but keeping mine.

Hi there,

I'm working at L'Equipe, this issue has finally come back to us.

I transmit it to the team concerned by this problem.

Clearing my NI.
