[Affected versions]:
- Firefox 60.0a1 (20180201192139)
[Affected platforms]:
- Win 10 64-bit
- Mac OS X 10.13.2
[Steps to reproduce]:
1.Install https://addons.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/addon/listed-search141515/
2.Open Add-ons Manager.
3.Navigate to “Extensions‘ tab.
4.Open the detailed page of the installed extension.
5.Observe the link from “Homepage”.
[Expected results]:
- The link from the “Homepage” field is displayed correctly.
[Actual results]:
- A generated link is displayed in the “Homepage” field that will redirect you to the link which was set by the user.
[Notes]
- The generated link is working if you update it, but is not displayed correctly.
- If you already have the homepage_url included in the manifest.json file before the submission, it will be displayed correctly in the “Homepage” field.
- If you update the homepage link in AMO, the link before the submission will be displayed in Add-ons Manager.
It seems that data defined in manifest.json can't be overridden by changes made in Developer Hub (AMO).
This means that Add-ons Manager will always show the original data included in the manifest.json file.
