I *think* this is related to 1377253 but not sure. The elements on the page just don't all load, some load and then disappear. Some elements show up when I mouse over them but then disappear again, or others disappear while I mouse around. This also only seems to happen in new profiles, I've never noticed this in my main profiles and I work with Atlassian products for my day job. I noticed this starting in a new profile I made in November/December to keep some work separate. I took a screenshot on Jan 21, I believe that's the first day I saw the issue. Though it seemed to stop happening. I've just made another new profile in the last week and it has started happening there. The other difference could be the number of tabs that are reloading from history? I have "use my windows and tabs from last time" set. I'll try loading up the new broken profile with a bunch of tabs and see if it stops there as well. I'm on Windows 10 on a Surface 3 (not pro), and I had a windows update that day, though which one is not showing in my update history.
Could you attach the contents of about:support to this bug? Thanks.

Oh sorry, missed that reply. Will attach and also have updates. I just had this bug again in one of the profiles I thought had been "cured" by having many tabs open. I saw it on homedepot.ca (first time visiting in this profile). Also I have recently set up a new machine and haven't noticed it there (yet).

about:support from profile that had seen this issue, went away, then came back

Memory report in case that helps
Hi ! I have the same issue, using JIRA here. The page doesn't load as expected, and some elements are missing. I'm working with JIRA for my job, so this is breaking my workflow and pushes me to use another browser ... I can upload a screenshot of the page and the javascript console if you need it. Thanks.
That would be helpful indeed. Do you know if resizing the window or opening devtools helps? If not it may indicate some sort of network / content loading issue instead of layout. If you could also run mozregression and check if / when this regressed it'd also be super-helpful, since I have no access to JIRA myself: http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/documentation/usage.html
Though the screenshot from comment 0 looks more like a Graphics issue. Markus, does it ring any bell?

@Emilio i would be happy to investigate, however this JIRA and the data associated with it is a sensitive issue. How can i submit them to you only ? (not publicly available)

We investigated the issue with @emilio, and in my case, my profile was the cause. There is a set of settings that is breaking JIRA that we didn't manage to find yet.
(In reply to Emilio Cobos Álvarez [:emilio] from comment #7) > Though the screenshot from comment 0 looks more like a Graphics issue. > Markus, does it ring any bell? This looks somewhat similar to GPU / driver bugs that we've seen in the past which we worked around by setting the pref layout.paint_rects_separately to true. So maybe this profile has layout.paint_rects_separately overridden to false in it.

It's happening in new profiles. I don't see that pref in about:config
Oh, right, I was getting confused. It sounds like mathieu.tarral was seeing a different bug, then - their main profile was broken but new profiles work correctly (is this correct, mathieu?). Whereas for you, Majken, it's the other way around. Majken, if you still have one profile that shows the problem but another that doesn't, can you get about:support dumps from both so that we can compare them?

Priority: -- → P3

This is my first post in Bugzilla, I am now almost unable to use Firefox at work because

  • it cannot load the full pages of Confluence (Atlassian) - my colleagues do not get this problem, i've even tried running in safe mode, cant get it to work, i've seen message board discussions with same problem, i know i'm not alone.
  • Service Now gives "bad Message 431" - this is sometimes fixed if I turn off private browsing?
  • PeopleSoft is our HR payroll/leave system it also gives "bad message 431"

its getting to the point where i'm going to have to switch to chrome which i DO NOT want to do for political reasons. but if firefox can't reliably use these web syastems then it is no longer something i can use.

i'm on 64 bit firefox from december 2018
I'm on windows 7
8gb ram
i5-5300U CPU @ 2.3GHz
