From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020510
BuildID: 2002051009
When I disable image loading (or require that Mozilla ask me first) images do
not load when browsing (as expected), but HTML email that contains images still
loads them.
Actually, I'd really like an option to block image-loading only in mail, since
there I am more likely to be hit with a spam page I don't want to look at (this
is with Linux, 1.0RC2)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Disable image loading in security prefs, or require that Mozilla ask before
loading images
2.Open email in HTML format that has inline images (IMG tags)
Actual Results: The images will be loaded (automatically), disregarding your
preference.
Expected Results: The images should not be loaded, or I should be asked first.
Actually, the "Every time" above is a slight exaggeration. I think the first
time I tried it things were okay, but then it never worked properly again (and
now it's every time).
I believe that build has the option to not show images in mail, which WFM as a
workaround (day old linux CVS)
Select View->Message body as->
then choose between full html, simplified html (without images) and plain text.
