From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020510 BuildID: 2002051006 If I access the AOL-Webmail-Page (http://email.aol.de/main.dci?langid=131078) and try to login, I get the error: "aolmail.aol.com has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error Code: -12263" Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 works fine here. (Netscape 6.2.2 doesn't work, too.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the mentioned Page 2. Try to login 3. Actual Results: Error-message: "aolmail.aol.com has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error Code: -12263" Expected Results: Login and access my emails.
Can you try a new profile ? run "Mozila -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile.
I've created a test profile and tried it again; but the same error message occurs.
I'm using build #2002053012, win2000 and it work fine for me. Althrough I can't read German language but I was able to log in and log out without a problem. FletchSOD
No working! I'm using build #2002053012 (Mozilla 1.0), too with a German Win2000 and I get the same error as described in my mails before: "aolmail.aol.com has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error Code: - 12263" Internet Explorer works fine. But I'm trying to login in the German site of AOL (www.aol.de). At www.aol.com I receive "invalid password". (But that's an expected answer.) There seems to be a different behaviour between aol.de and aol.com. Jens
That gonna be tough! FletchSOD
Finally, I can help to narrow down the problem with AOL WebMail! When I log in to AOL, read emails and delete emails, etc. I get the error message, "We're sorry, an unknown error occurred: "err_kCommandBadId". (Reference #400)" when I try to delete the email that I haven't opened. My understanding is that Jens's inability log in to AOL WebMail are similiar to the popup error message I had received. My conclusion here is that the problem lie with AOL, not with Mozilla. AOL WebMail could not interpret our responses to the WebMail interface or the AOL programming had hit a snag somewhere inside AOL WebMail. Because of the fact the popup error message came directly from AOL, not from Mozilla. Do you agree with that? Since the problem is the AOL programming, so I don't believe it is a Mozilla Bug. Why not safely closed the bug report? Send a bug report to AOL instead. Thanks, FletchSOD

Hello! I don't agree with your conclusion! I don't think, that the problem lies with AOL, because I can access the German Mailsite of AOL with MS Internet Explorer! Only Mozilla and Netscape will fail! Jens
Jens Krause: is this still a problem for you using mozilla 1.1? If not, please resolve this bug WORKSFORME.
