Can't reproduce it. If I drop a text file or an image, Firefox opens it.

I can reproduce when dopping the text/image file inside Firefox window.
Firefox opens the file as expected when I drop it on Firefox entry in task manager (bar on bottom that displays running apps).
Tested with Firefox 88.0.1 on X11 session of neon unstable distro.
