Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0 Build ID: 20180206200532 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 58 (or older) in macOS Sierra. 2. Open a new window (or tab) and drag it to my second monitor. 3. Close the window on the second monitor 4. Close the window on the first monitor 5. Open Firefox Actual results: Firefox opens on the second monitor Expected results: Firefox opens on the first monitor (since it was the last one that I closed). Note: This problem only occurs with Firefox. If I use Safari for example it doesn't occur.
Hi, I tested this issue on Mac OS X 10.12 with FF Nightly 60.0a1(2018-03-06) and FF 58 release and I can't reproduce it. Romraptor do you have any add-ons installed on your profile? Can you please retest this with Firefox in Safe Mode? Here is a link that can help you to do that: https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Procedures-to-diagnose-and-fix/Troubleshoot-Firefox-issues-using-Safe-Mode/ta-p/1687#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode Also if the issue is still reproducible please create a new profile and retest it. You have the steps here:https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager Thanks

I tried safe mode with Firefox 58 and it worked perfectly. Then I tried it in normal mode again and the issue returned. So I disabled my add-ons and it worked. Strange thing is when I enabled all the add-ons again it still worked.

Closing for now, but please reopen if you can pinpoint a way to reproduce. Thanks!

I was wrong. It had nothing to do with the add-ons. The bug only occurs when you highlight the window on screen 1 after using the window on screen 2. If you close the window on screen 2 without going back and using the window on screen 1 Firefox will open on screen 1 next time as expected.

Tried safe mode again and it worked. Then I tried a full screen video (nba league pass) on screen 2 and Firefox opened on screen 2 even though I closed the window on screen 2 first. Maybe the bug is connected to Flash?
Same thing happens if I watch a youtube video (which is html5?) on screen 2 so maybe it's connected to full screen video in general?
