From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020510 BuildID: 2002051008 If bookmarks are imported from Netscape 4.x, one of the bookmarks is "Instant Messanger." Opening this bookmark opens the download manager before it launches AIM even though the file is local. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a profile that was imported from Netscape 4.7x or create a new shortcut that points to launch.aim 2. Open Instant Messanger with the shortcut. launch.aim just contains: DWH[cr][lf]

--> XP Apps, I think. Reassign. Worksforme with Mozilla pre-1.3 alpha build 2002120708. I have Netscape Communicator 4.8 installed. When I clicked on the AIM file, Mozilla asked me whether I wanted to load AIM or download the file. When I selected AIM, it loaded AIM. Thus, it worksforme. Reporter, do you have AIM installed? (You should if you have Netscape Communicator installed.)

I'm using V1.2 final (build 20021126) and I still see it. Under Edit/Preferences.../Navigator/Downloads, "Open the download manager" must be selected (the default on a fresh install). When I click on the imported bookmark for AIM and select to open in AIM, the download manager pops up and says that "launch.aim" is downloading/finished. (I do have Communicator v4.78 and AIM installed.)
