The current text is "[Enable|Disable] for this site"
We not have enable/disable:
1) globally through prefs
2) temporarily through a reload long-press,
3) and now through this menu.
I think the term 'whitelist' should be used somewhere to distinguish this feature. Communicating what this feature does, or directing users to make use of it in the case of problems, is problematic without the word 'whitelist' in there somewhere.
Also, we should show the name of the whitelisted domain in the message. It isn't clear what exactly is being whitelisted.
We whitelist the base domain (ETLD+1), the only way to explain that to users is visually.
Perhaps we can use the current messaging, here is an example:
If I am on `subdomain.site.com/somepage/etc`, we would show `Disable for 'site.com'`.
Because of the string freeze, maybe we can just add the domain that is being whitelisted below the existing string:
"""
Disable for this site
foo.com
"""
Summary: [tracking protection 2.0] whitelisting button text is confusing → [tracking protection 2.0] whitelisting button text is confusing (add domain?)
bbell has a new design coming with the domain in the title of the menu to address this bug.
Let's not modify the button, and instead augment the title of the Tracking Protection report above the button to include the full domain.
