RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 697649

People

(Reporter: deejtonks, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20180206200532

Steps to reproduce:

1. Bookmark a page (pressing the star in the URL field).
2. For folder: go Choose...
3. Click add new folder.
4. Try name your folder.

Actual results:

You don't have enough time before it automatically saves the folder's name to name it correctly.

Expected results:

The folder should save with its assigned name when the user presses enter or the field loses focus.

Also, may I add there's no 'Rename folder' option in the bookmark's side menu.
Sorry -- my last pointer about being able to rename the folder in the side menu I later found it available in properties. However, this wasn't so obvious. Maybe change it to "Rename..."?
Do you have sync enabled? If so, this is a duplicate of bug 697649.

If not, please check if you can reproduce the issue in a brand new profile with the latest Nightly.

Confirming this bug is fixed in Nightly, under a new user profile. I can't see the solution however for existing user profiles?
