Klar wants to enable/disable/configure GeckoView's Fingerprinting Protection. This API will probably need to be more than a simple boolean switch because Klar might want separate UI settings for basic fingerprinting and canvas protection (bug 1376865).

tjr says there isn't a separate pref for canvas protection outside of privacy.resistFingerprinting. IsImageExtractionAllowed is the correct function and we would only need to add a new pref and fiddle the logic in there a little bit (like bug 1376865).
Here is the Klar issue to create the settings UI for fingerprinting protection:

Dropping priority from P1 to P2. Susheel says we can defer fingerprinting protection to Klar 7.0 (GeckoView 62?) because it is a new feature.
Priority: P1 → P2

Deprioritizing because fingerprinting protection is no longer a Klar blocker.

Just noting this may become more a need soon - will let you know for sure as soon as I know.
