User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20180310025718
Steps to reproduce:
Went to various web pages both through searches and the topsites. Seems easier to replicate on derpibooru (https://derpibooru.org/) and element-heavy webpages. Possibly a css or javascript error. Opening several images from derpibooru in new tabs might also trigger it.
Actual results:
Multiple elements are obscured/hidden by the webpage's background color. Mousing over them might reveal them, but they tend to stay hidden. This happens occasionally, about 25%-50% of the time.
Expected results:
On derpibooru I should have gotten a grid of images and icons. Other webpages should also display their non-hidden elements. The webpage should have loaded and displayed correctly. NOTE: derpibooru's bg is white if you are not logged in, the image will have a different bg color since I'm logged in.
Seem to also affect google searches and web pages on alternating tabs.

hi, thanks for reporting this. we are currently looking into this issue in bug 1435472
so far it appears to be an issue that only affects users who have turned off cleartype font rendering within their windows settings. so a workaround for the moment would either be to turn cleartype back on or disabling hardware acceleration in firefox:
