User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20100101 Steps to reproduce: I try to copy text from a website via Ctrl + C. Also I try to run a hotkey command registered with an extension. Actual results: Since the last update to version 59 some keyboard shortcuts stopped working. I can no longer Ctrl + C text from some websites (ex. Google Drive, the selected text gets replaced by a c character, so the Ctrl key somehow is not registered). My guess is that only websites that listen for key events are affected. I also use the Enpass browser extension. There I have a hotkey combination set to auto fill password fields. This feature is also broken now. I'm running KDE Neon (Plasma 5.12 on Ubuntu 16.04) with Firefox 59.0.1. Using this demo it seems like no keypresses are sent to the web page anymore. This demo works in other browsers. https://dmauro.github.io/Keypress/ I have already started firefox in safe mode without any extensions loaded and the problem still exists. Expected results: The text should have been copied / the shortcut should have been registered.
Do you have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled? It stays on in Safe Mode.
I do! And disabling it solves this issue.
Cool!
