Steps to reproduce:

Check Request desktop mode.
Navigate to www.youtube.com.
Start typing in search bar, then touch one of the suggested searches.


Actual results:

There is a very noticeable lag before the search bar is filled and the search performed.


Expected results:

Search bar should have been filled and search started almost instantly.

This happened with Android Firefox 47, 59, and 60, but only since new Youtube desktop layout became default. Mobile version of site is ok.

I didn't report earlier since I thought it was a Youtube problem, however, the new desktop version works fine with Chrome 65, and Opera 45-46 (but not with Opera 37).

         -Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Android 6.0.1)
         -Google Pixel XL (Android 8.1.0)

Build: 
 - Nightly 61.0a1 (2018-04-11);
 - Release 59.0.2;
 - Beta 60 (60.0b11);

Was able to repro the issue.The lag is more noticeable on the tablet (Nexus 9 - Android 6.0.1). On the other 2 devices the issue is still present but it's less noticeable.

Hi, I've managed to replicate the issue without requesting the desktop version of www.youtube.com with the following devices and builds:

•Huawei MediaPad M2 (Android 5.1.1) on Firefox 67.0b17 & Firefox 67.0b18
•Samsung Galaxy Tab Active (Android 5.1.1) on Firefox 66.0.4, Firefox 67.0b18 & Firefox Nightly 68.0a1
