144895 - Clearing trash didn't clear the preview pane

I clicked on trash to look at an unread message that I had moved there. I
clicked on the message in the top right pane and it turned out to be a typical
webcam spam. I cleared the trash can, but the message body remained in the
message pane.

This is similar to, but not exactly a dupe, of bug 62938 -- that bug is about 
deleting the message individually, this is about using the Empty Trash menu 
item.  62938's symptom is WFM for me with 1.4RC1, this bug's symptom (which was 
reported in bug 161999 comment 21) still presents.  Confirming; duplicated with
  Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030527

(62938 looks to have been incorrectly duped, as it seems to have been fixed 
whereas the symptom of its alleged dupe is still present.)
