User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0rc2)
Gecko/20020510
BuildID: 2002051006
The SSL tunneling through a proxy cache does not work for the about URL.
The URL works using IE 6.0.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type in the URL
2.
3.
Actual Results: Mozilla will wait and time out.
Expected Results: Using IE 6.0, the above URL works; you will see a loign page
comes back.
The same problem happens to this URL (via a proxy):
https://investing.schwab.com/trading/start?Orig=phome&pos=topnav&ebmk=phomeAcquisition?Orig=phome&dest=login&pos=topnav&ebmk=phomeAcquisition
Please check the URL to see if my correction is accurate.
Do you know what proxy server you are using? Are you getting a username-password
request?
from email, reporter says:
I am testing RC3 now. It seems HTTPS does not work if
I set the following:
1. Memory cache size set to 0
2. Disk cache size set to say 1024.
Please check it. This is done without using a proxy.
About the original bug (SSL tunneling via a proxy):
You can check it using the following steps:
1. Configure mozilla to use a proxy (any proxy)
2. type in the following URL
https://www.teletechfcu.org/onlineserv/HB/Signon.cgi
3. The status bar does not show any progress at all.
The connection just hangs.
(The URL works using IE6 and Opera3 via a proxy. You
can test it using IE6 and/or Opera3.)
